Forensic Investigation
Before settling an insurance claim or starting litigation, insurance companies and attorneys must determine the cause of an accident caused by a falling tree or determine the reason a tree has died. My knowledge of tree physiology, tree pests, defects and tree structure can provide the unbiased information needed to make important decisions. I have examined remains of fallen trees to determine the cause of the tree failure. Sometimes the failure is caused by construction damaged roots. Sometimes it is caused by root decay caused by excessive irrigation and fill soil. Sometimes a decay pathogen present in the trunk but not visible to casual inspection has caused the tree failure. I am also familiar with symptoms of herbicide damage.
